Below are the points of today’s discussions on a high
level:
·
Our discussion started with the main news in the
today's Hindu Newspaper i.e., a statement by General Liang of China which says
"China has never deployed a single soldier in PoK: Liang." We have
learnt from Chachu that whenever there is such a statement made by a different
Nation, there will be a statement made by India in retaliation. For example for
the above statement, the statement made in retaliation by A.K.Anthony, the
Defence Minister of India was "No Chinese Intrusion in Last 3 years:
Antony".
·
A K Antony also reiterated before parliament
that India has asked China to cease the infrastructure development it is
undertaking in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. Here the main point to understand is
that the army people (of China) are involved in the development of
Infrastructure.
·
We had a discussion on LAC, LOC and No people's
land.
·
We had a discussion on current ongoing issue in
the country i.e., regarding the cancellation of coal blocks. Had a good
understanding on this issue.
·
Learnt that diktat is an order which is imposed
by someone in power. The phrase "tit for tat" which means equivalent
retaliation also comes from the same root.
·
Learnt how important it is to have our own view
when we read or come to know some news.
·
Learnt that more than reading, one has to study
the newspaper.
·
Learnt about Markandey Katju, a retired justice
of Supreme Court. Also came to know that Katju is a Kashmiri Pandit. He is the
grandson of Dr. K. N. Katju, the former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh.
·
Thyself means themselves. (Shakespeare’s
English)
·
Learnt about how the economy as well as power
shifted from UK to US i.e., from pounds to dollars (Pounds to Dollars was a
speech given Dr T P Sasikumar in of the discussion forums in Kerala.)
·
India has the cheapest and the largest Postal department
in the world.
·
Indian railway is the best in the world as it
provides employment to many.
·
Puranas and Itihasas are the stories told in
order to understand the essence of Vedas. Ramayana and Maharbaratha are the
examples.
·
Understood how foolish are people who protest
against cutting trees holding the pluck cards of papers made by cutting the
trees.
·
The handle of an Axe is made from the branch of
a tree and the same is used in cutting the trees.
·
Transgression means breaking of line or rule.
·
When one reiterates, that means he/she says it
firmly.
·
Always try to settle in life, make a good career
and then to help others. Hence, a student's main job is to learn.
·
When one breaks coconut in front of God, it
means he is breaking his ego in front of God. The outermost shell of a coconut
represents the ego of a person and the inner sweet water represents his sweet
nature.
·
Understood how important it is to allot more budgets
to the prestigious institutes like IITs, IIMs and other universities, in order
maintain their standard.
·
Learnt that Charted Accountants are not under
government.
·
The main thing I learnt from today's session is
"EDUCATION IS NOT FOR GETTING JOB".
·
Like every other session learnt a lot from your
experiences.

then we discussed about postal services in india and its relevance.
The
Department of Posts, trading as India Post, is a government-operated

post office".
the post service is the cheapest service.
As of 31 March 2011, the Indian Postal Service has 154,866 post offices, of which 139,040 (89.78%) are in rural areas and 15,826 (10.22%) are in urban areas. It has 25,464 departmental PO s and 129,402 ED BPOs. At the time of independence, there were 23,344 post offices, which were primarily in urban area.

It was first established under the name "Company Mail" in 1688. The

dictat means to give firm commands.
people

largest rail routes are in india
rail transport systems first appeared in England in the 1820s.
The Railway Age dawned in India on 16th. April 1853, when the
first train ran from Bombay to Thana, a distance of 21 miles(33.81
Km.).
" The Stockholm and Darlington Railway" (1825) is recognised as the starting of railway age,.
once upon a time india is the only place where diamonds were found.
Historians
estimate that diamond (vajra, Sanskrit for "adamantine") were
discovered in India during the 4th century B.C., and India was one of
the first countries to mine the gem. India's diamonds were prized for
their size and beauty for hundreds of years.
if we are blessed with sufficient money then only we can help people .
we can't conduct a programe or a awarness session which we only doesn't know more about it.
ganesh chaithruthi is about disturbing people and making environment pollute.
we have a nice discussion about sir's guru and his speaches
we read an article written by ex jurdge
the article says about education system in india
accoding to me the standard of education is getting depleating because people are only studing to make money
which should not be done .
and
in some private institutions the facult is geting jobs based on the
topic which they present on the stage .(what i mean to say is if the
facult may know only that topic well and he is getting a job and they
are paid good salaries).
