Respected sir,

-Sir we learnt many things in today's session.
-Our class started with the history of KOHINOOR diamond.
-The diamond was known as Syamantaka according to Indian myth.
-The mention of symantaka was first done in vishnu purana or Bhagavata
gita the jewel belonged to sun god.
-The jewel was then gifted to satrajit a yadava.
-Lord krishna asked satrajit to give the jewel to Ugrasena the king of
yadavas but satrajit refused to give.
-Satrajit later presented it to his brother prasen who wore it often
but one day while he was hunting in forest he was been attacked by
lion who killed him and took away the jewel.
-After that the lion had a fight with the king of bear's Jambavan who
one the fight and took away with him.
-Later there were acquisition that lord krishna had an eye on the
jewel who murdered prasen and stole the jewel.
-In order to prove every one wrong he went in search of jewel he
reached jambavan's cave where he saw his children playing with the
jewel.
-Jambavan had a fight with lord krishna which lasted 28 days after
that he became tired and gave back the jewel but insisted lord krishna
to marry his daughter jambavati.
-When lord krishna returned to Dwarka with the jewel he gave the jewel
to satrajit.
-Satrajit was ashamed of not listening to lord krishna so he thought
of returning the jewel he requested to marry his daughter satyabhama
but lord krishna refused to take the jewel.
-One day when krishna and balarama went to hastinapur. kritavarma,
akrura and satadhanwa had an eye on the jewel taking the advantage of
krishna's absence satadhanwa attacked satrajit and killed him.
-Satyabhama after hearing the news rushed to krishna and informed him
krishna chased satadhanwa but the jewel was it akrura.
-Satdhanwa was being chase and killed but when krishna knew that jewel
was with akrura he told him to keep the jewel but the condition was
that the syamantaka will be in the city of Dwarka.
-After krishna's death there was no clue of in whom hands was the jewel gone.
-The jewel any how made its return in the 13th century.
-But this time it was babur he trapped by its beauty.
-The first mention was done in baburnama.
-From babur was passed to Sultan Al-ed-Din Khalji the ruler of delhi.
-From khalji it moved into the hands of vikramaditya.
-The diamond any how made its return back to the mughals.
-But it was believed that the diamond brought a bad luck to mughals
shah jahan placed the diamond on the peacock throne which was
overthrone by his son aurangzeb.
-When nadir shah of afghan invaded india he took the jewel and named
it as kohinoor.
-After the the death of nadir shah it went to ahmed shah abdali and
then to ranjit sigh the punjab ruler.
-The diamond eventually had to reach to lord jaganath in orissa that's
the reason it is been passed through so many hands.
thank you sir for such a good session i hope we had such nyice
sessions in future also.
