Economy: it is confined to an individ
ual, state, country or to a certain entity.
Economics is Study of Economy.
Econometrics is measurement of economics.
Ø  The session started with various dynamics of science and how they are multi disciplinary and inter disciplinary.

Examples:
If we consider geography, in the present world this discipline has been advanced into various forms like
Geomatics : where it will be combinations of mathematics and  geography
                                Proof:
In order to calculate the distance between two points on earth (let it be USA and INDIA) we need to calculate in Cartesian form (i.e. mathematics) and geography.

Geoinformatics :  Geomatics + computer science  (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geoinformatics).

Ø  Next part in the session is about the economies around the world.

Islamic Banking :
These banks will also have same purpose as our banks do. However they won’t give money in terms of intrest(in Arabic ‘RIBA’     http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riba). As it is consider as a sin according to QURAN.
The basic principle of Islamic banking is based on risk-sharing which is a component of trade rather than risk-transfer which we see in the conventional banking. Islamic banking introduces concepts such as profit sharing (Mudharabah), safekeeping (Wadiah), joint venture (Musharakah), cost plus (Murabahah), and leasing (Ijar).
These banks buy goods from seller and it resells for profits. This will be shared for banking transactions and end customer.
Islamic banks lend their money to companies by issuing floating rate interest loans. The floating rate of interest is pegged to the company's individual rate of return. Thus the bank's profit on the loan is equal to a certain percentage of the company's profits.
Ø  From the above interpretation we can know about Islamic economy. Similarly we can study some other economies like : ‘war economy’,’american economy(Christian economy)’, ’demographic economics’(like each country in European union has their own economy but if we study collective part of European economy it is called demographic economy).
o   Students in developed countries study economics in practical as they are concentrated for individuals.
o   However students in developing countries studies economics as theoretical study. To find the ways to improve the economy of the country.
o   Study of economies in
§  Developed countries: micro economics.
§  Developing countries: macro economics.

Ø  For each and every study in advancement often termed as expertise by western countries is multidisciplinary. Which in turn leads to generalist approach already stated in Indian philosophy.

Ø  Discussed about EC (encumbrance certificate):
This certificate will be used when the buyer wants to know the status and current ownership of land he wants to buy.In private dealings always buyers at risk.

Ø  Difference between growth progress and development
o   When growth is there , progress will be there (graph of growth vs progress is exponential).
o   When country is progressing it leads to development.
o   Where development is long-term process.

Ø  Interpretation of Ramayana
o   rama : sun        sita: earth           laxmana : thunders           urmila : electricity
hanuma: air    kumbha karna: laziness       ravana: cloud

here in this context if a light want to reach from sun to earth. The objection will come from cloud as  they come between sun and earth . With help of air cloud can be vanished.
o   RA + MA+AYANAM   ra : darkness  ma : light  ayanam : movement.
o   i.e,  it  will help people  moving from darkness to light.

Ø  Dharma changes from time to time.
o   Satyayuga : every one is good.
o   Thretayuga : king is important . so everyone has to obey him.
o   Dwaparayuga: king is not important. If he is not good you can kill him.
o   Kaliyuga  : you are important. Everyone has there own dharma and priority may change from time to time.
So from each and every yuga. Dharma had been diluting.
Ø  Even newspapers have their own dharma. Pathra dharma and charvaka dharma.

Ø  Emotional intelligence (EI) means controlling the emotions intelligently.
If EQ and IQ are zero there wont be EI
Word of the Day : Tractability  ()
Tractable : means easily managed

Q) Implementation of Cash transfer scheme.
One of the solutions may be that people can submit the bills to have the claims. This leads to transparency.
Q) FDI advantages
All the goods can be under roof. It can be given subsides. Where the company concentrate on more amount of goods, obviously production increases. Employment rise takes place.
Q) If 51% of fdi is allowed how the foreign companies accountable to local government in price making?
As there will be more competition, if price are high then company may loose customer.
